Zanity System's Stream Team

Terminology useful for understanding the contents of this page.
Not representative of clinical/research/academic terminology

  • DID - Stands for "Dissociative Identity Disorder" a clinically recognized and validated disorder resultant of repeated childhood traumas that disrupt the typical psychological development of memory, identity, and self-awareness.

  • System - The collection of identities, self-states, alters, etc. at large. Not exclusive to Dissociative Identity Disorder.

  • Sub-System - A tightly associated grouping of alters within a larger system. May present as a distinctly separate group from other groups within the system, or as an alter who themself contains a system. Alter-ception if you will, or a nesting-doll within a nesting-doll.

  • On-Point - A term in Zanity's personal lexicon that denotes the individual alter taking executive control or speaking on behalf of themself, a group of individuals in the system, or the system at large.

  • Fronting/Front - A common term indicating conscious awareness, executive functioning, and socialization. For many systems this is the same as "On-Point" but due to Zanity's nature to have groups of alters involved with "the front" we differentiate.

  • Protector - An alter who has a primary job within the system of managing protection, safety, boundaries, etc.

  • Alter - Any individual member of a "system". A dissociated identity with their own perceptions, likes, dislikes, memories, experiences, etc.

  • Headmate - An alter. Y'know, they're like roommates but in your.. you get it.

Zanity (They/Them)

Zanity is the whole system, not any 1 particular alter.This can confuse some people so we thought this might help. This avatar is used for all and any headmates of ZanitySystem. Generally anyone tries to provide a collective opinion/decision but there's no one particular. This identity can present, shift, and blend any kind of which-way.Individuals in the system may or may not self-identify by name, gender, sexuality, interests, dislikes while using this avatar.Just like we do IRL!

Queenie (She/They)

Hi, I'm Queenie and I'm a full-grown woman. Not "girl". Thank you.I like pretty much any game that takes me out of my head, I quit League of Legends. Lately Dead by Daylight is a good replacement but I'm looking for more! Zane is a Subsystem of alters who are frequently involved with the front, life decisions, schedule-management, organization, life goals, and health.Tends to take things literally, is easily flustered by flirting and sex-jokes, generally sex-averse.

  • Jack (He/Him) - Bunny-Boy - "I don't know I'm here, lol" - Jokey, structured, usually makes the stream schedule.

  • Ehl (They/He) - Human maybe - "I'm anxious, I love learning, I have a lot of interests. And a lot of sensory nightmares. Don't mind me, I don't come around much."

  • Tara (She/They) - ??? - "... :)" - Lesbian, Artist

  • Nekan (They/He/She/It) - secret - "Always leave your mark, wherever you go" - Comic art, wood-work, acrylic paint, mixed media.

  • Edgar (He/Him) - i "Niiice. idk what am I supposed to say? xD" - Sassy, sex positive, outgoing, private.
